If vulnerable children were your primary concern in Queensland then Peter Beattie should be out of the Premiers office on his backside on February 7. Beattie’s contention that previous governments are of equal blame for chronic failures in the State’s foster care system, unveiled by Brisbane’s Courier Mail in June 2003, and investigated by the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) this month, is totally unacceptable.
