The star of this quarter's Tin Tin Index of Commonwealth Parliamentary Performance is Senator Penny Wong.

The Tin Tin Index of Commonwealth Parliamentary Performance ranks the government just ahead of the opposition in terms of its performance over the past three months. Both government and opposition have not been inspiring, only Penny Wong for the government has shown a bit of grit, substance and vision. But, on the results, Federal Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet do not pass muster. I give the Federal Cabinet 97/200 and the Shadow Cabinet 79/200. There is a general dismal view abroad of both sides of politics at a time of great economic, environmental and social tests.
